STORY

There was an old man who was admitted in a hospital. A young man would visit him every day, and sit with him for more than one hour. He would help him eat his food, and take his shower. He

would read to him, tell him stories, and sometimes just sit in silence, offering his presence as comfort.

The old man, named Mr. Jenkins, was initially skeptical of the young man’s kindness. He couldn’t understand why someone would dedicate so much time and effort to a stranger, especially someone as old and feeble as himself. But as the days passed and the young man continued to visit, Mr. Jenkins began to see him as more than just a visitor – he became a friend.

The young man, named David, had stumbled upon Mr. Jenkins by chance during one of his visits to the hospital to see his own grandmother. He had noticed the old man sitting alone in his room, looking lonely and forlorn, and something inside him had compelled him to reach out and offer his companionship.

At first, David had been nervous about approaching Mr. Jenkins. He wasn’t sure if the old man would welcome his presence or if he would be met with rejection. But his fears quickly dissipated as he saw the gratitude and appreciation in Mr. Jenkins’ eyes when he offered to keep him company.
