STORY

An old hillbilly farmer had a wife who nagged him unmercifully. From morning till night (and sometimes later), she was always complaining about something. The only time he got any relief was when he was

sitting on the porch with his faithful dog, Blue. One summer evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow across the fields, the old farmer sighed deeply, looking out at the vast expanse of his land.

His wife’s nagging echoed in his ears, but as he gazed into the distance, he felt a sense of peace wash over him. Blue, sensing his master’s mood, nuzzled against him, offering silent companionship. In that serene moment, the farmer decided he needed a break from the constant complaints and dreamed of a simple getaway.

The next morning, he woke up early and announced to his wife, “I’m headin’ into town for supplies.” The woman, too preoccupied with her daily grievances, didn’t pay much attention. The farmer packed a small bag and, with Blue by his side, set out on a journey beyond the familiar fields and meadows.
