A golfer was involved in a terrible car crash and was rushed to the hospital. Just before he was put under, the surgeon popped in to see him. “I have some good news and some bad news,” says the

surgeon, a man in his mid-forties with a reassuring smile. The golfer, still groggy from the accident, nodded slightly, signaling the surgeon to continue.

“The bad news is that the impact of the crash has left you with some severe injuries, particularly to your legs,” the surgeon explained. “We had to perform emergency surgery to stabilize them. It will be a long road to recovery, and you’ll need extensive rehabilitation.”

The golfer felt a knot tightening in his stomach, but he braced himself for the good news, hoping it would offset the severity of the situation. The surgeon continued, “Now, the good news is that your upper body and vital organs are intact. You’re a strong, healthy individual, and we’re optimistic about your overall recovery.”
