An American, Brit, and an Aussie are about to get executed in Russia. The executioner approaches the American prisoner and says, “How would you like to die? By firing squad, hung by the neck, or on the electric Chair?” “I’ll take the chair.” the American says. So he gets strapped into the electric chair.

But just as he thought he was about to succumb to the darkness, the electricity suddenly stopped. John’s eyes fluttered open, and he found himself still strapped to the chair, but alive. Confusion washed over him as he looked around, trying to make sense of what had just happened.

The executioner stepped forward, a puzzled expression on his face. “I don’t understand,” he muttered. “The chair was supposed to kill you.” John could only stare in disbelief, unable to comprehend how he had managed to survive.

Then, a voice broke through the silence. It was the British prisoner, named William, who had been watching the scene unfold with a mixture of awe and disbelief. “It must be a sign,” he said solemnly. “A sign that we were meant to live.”
