Wishing to encourage her young son’s progress on the piano, a mother took the small boy to a concert of the famous pianist, Paderewski. After they were seated, the mother spotted a friend in the audience and waved excitedly. She leaned over and whispered to her son, “I’ll be right back. Stay here.” She then made her way through the crowd to greet her friend.
Left alone, the young boy felt the excitement of the grand concert hall. The air was filled with a hum of anticipation, and the boy could see the grand piano on the stage, its polished surface reflecting the soft glow of the stage lights. His eyes sparkled with curiosity and wonder. Unable to contain himself, the boy quietly slipped away from his seat and made his way down the aisle, drawn to the magnificent instrument that held a special place in his heart.
As the boy approached the stage, he felt a mix of excitement and mischief. He climbed the steps and found himself standing before the grand piano. Without a second thought, he sat down on the bench, his small fingers brushing against the ivory keys. A thrill ran through him as he began to play the first notes that came to mind: the simple tune of “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.”
